I love when kids figure out at an early age that the best gifts they can give their parents is something to remember them by. Whether the classic clay hand print with the little poem that goes with it, or the drawing of rainbows and flowers with the “I love you” note attached – my own kids are great at giving those gifts that come from the heart and bring me back memories of them. My desk is filled to overflowing even now with pictures, notes, crafts and little homemade paper envelopes filled with the latest seashell find from the beach. I have found from my own experience, that my own parents (and in-laws) love gifts that involve portraits in some way (prints, handbags, books, etc.) – which is lucky for me, being a photographer! So, I was tickled that these “kids” thought of giving their dad some portraits of themselves to replace all of the stock photos filling up the frames in his house for his birthday! I am sure he will be pleased! And he couldn’t ask for two more photogenic and fun-loving kids to boot! I am sure their images will look just as good as the models currently residing in all of those frames. We had a great time together last Friday and don’t worry – your gallery will be ready in time for Dad’s birthday! For now, enjoy your sneak peak!
