As I mentioned in my previous post, I get to look forward to seeing Elle every October for her annual birthday portraits! (Elle’s 2-year old portraits & Elle’s 3-year old portraits) But in actuality, I get to look forward to seeing her more often than that – because this is another case of clients that have become good friends. What began as a nice phone conversation about taking some portraits for her two-year-old’s portraits, expanded as we immediately hit it off upon meeting…and then we did family portraits together, and then began to just hang out… Making Easter cookies at my home, bringing the kids swimming at her home in Palos Verdes, playdates at the park, watching the big waves at the beach, meeting for dinners and birthday party invites…it has been such a fun journey! And I love when I get to really *know* the kids and people I photograph! Of course Elle being so very comfortable with me provides its own challenges when the camera comes out as well! But it is always so much fun! And because her birthday is always in October, we always do some Halloween themed portraits! This year we met at Tanaka Farms in Irvine (what better place for Halloween Portraits?) – and got some of Elle in this year’s costume as well! Doesn’t she make an adorable Dorothy? And she was so cute in taking care of her little dog Toto! Enjoy your sneak peak, Penny -and I hope we see one another again soon!
