Marci is a friend of mine, who I didn’t know all that well in High School, but have gotten to know better on Facebook. I’ve always thought that she had the loveliest family, and was super excited when she asked me to come out to take photos of her darling daughter Juliet for her first birthday. While the primary focus of the session was to get some adorable photos of Juliet, we wanted to capture a few family shots while we were at it. We walked down to a park near her home in Simi Valley and focused on the family shots first. After the photo shoot Marci invited me to come hang out with the family and stay for dinner, and I was so glad that I did. It was really fun to get to know them all better and to just be in their home and see how they all interact. The thing that stuck out the most to me was how much the big kids just adore their little sister! There is so much love and warmth in their home! Because this session resulted in so many adorable photos I am going to break it into three blog posts – one for family, one of the cake smash and one featuring the beautiful Juliet!
