I wasn’t really looking forward to this session. It was 112 degrees outside when I arrived to photograph this brand new baby and his four older siblings. I was drenched in sweat by the time I had loaded my equipment into the house. And yet I think this has to be one of my favorite sessions ever. I think a combination of five of some of the most utterly well behaved children I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing as a group – not to mention photogenic! Every last one of them a perfect angel for the day – clearly in love with their new little brother and each other as well. And little Colton made my job easy; sleeping peacefully throughout many different poses and looking adorable for each and every one of them. He was at my very favorite age to photograph a newborn babe – 6 days old. I was even able to get a few of the family dog – a very charming boxer who was happy to be in on the action. I ended up with so many keepers I think it may be a record – I just couldn’t narrow it down further.
