This dreamy family contacted me recently – mom wanted a session with her girls in their new home. Well, 3 years they’ve lived here now and wanted an updated family portrait in their new home surroundings. Mom recently got engaged and we decided to hit two birds with one stone, so to speak and grab some romantic engagement photos while we were at it! Heisler park and Picnic beach are a great location because you’ve got a park area with green grass and beautiful plants and trees – and a lovely path that leads right down to the sandy shores of picnic beach, a picturesque location with rocks and palm trees in the distance. On this particular day, the tide was high and the waves were huge, adding to the drama! Mom had great taste in choosing outfits and the cozy idea of a soft knit blanket to for her fiancee to wrap her in. It was pretty fitting, because we had quite a bit of grey, misty gloom for an August evening at the beach! The blanket was the perfect prop. My favorite thing though, was this family’s sense of adventure! I love it when my clients are willing to actually get in and play in the ocean waves! It makes for some really fun images and I just adored their spontaneity and sense of adventure! I came home just as soaking wet and had just as much fun as they did. Enjoy your sneak peek guys!
