Family Photo Contest {Huntington Beach Family Portrait Photographer}

It’s that time of the month again….contest time! I have so much fun entering contests when I get a moment…mostly because I quite enjoy seeing all of the other entries – they make for great inspiration! It also challenges me to find what I feel is my best work. I sometimes have a difficult time choosing my very favorite images.  But this month’s photo challenge at www.rocktheshotforum.com was particularly challenging! The theme is “Family”, and that has to be my very favorite subject to capture. I have so many family images that I love.  I gathered about 20 of my favorite images and picked this one (pretty randomly) out of that goody bag of family fun and beauty.  This one speaks to me because of the vibrant colors and yet peaceful feelings it invokes.  It was one of my easier shots to pull off…because let’s face it – when everyone is facing away from the camera you don’t have to worry about closed eyes or funny expressions. And because the subjects are not all focusing on posing for the camera they can be themselves a lot more.  But that is also what ends to the timeless feel of the image…this group of cousins are interacting with one another, talking and laughing and enjoying the scenery as much as I was.  Processed with Topaz Labs.  Head on over to Rock The Shot Forum to check out some other fun and inspirational family portraits.
